Collaborative Philanthropy:
Hosting funder networks and programmes
Philanthropy has lasting impact when we work together with shared purpose. Our hosted programmes collaborate on a range of human rights issues.
Our philanthropic hosted programmes have collaboration at their heart. They are ongoing programmes which foster long-term, dedicated commitment from established funder networks. We host programmes initiated and established outside Global Dialogue and we partner with groups of donors to create jointly hosted programmes.
Each of our hosted programmes is governed by a Management Committee, Advisory Board or Steering Group, usually comprised of donors to the initiative. A Hosting Agreement governs the relationship between the Global Dialogue Board of Trustees and the programme board and staff. Programme directors report to the Global Dialogue Board of Trustees, via the Global Dialogue executive director.

Ambitious Philanthropy
Philanthopy needs ambitious goals to create the change we want to see in the world. We catalyse donor ambitions by amplifying new ideas through our incubated civil society initiatives.
Bold Philanthropy
Global Dialogue identifies areas that will benefit from strategic philanthropic investment. We embrace challenges and bring our joint expertise to the table when we identify new areas to fund.
Agile Philanthropy
Philanthropy can pave the way for major societal change, but it can also get stuck in its ways. Our Special Initiatives help donors find creative ways to address complex social problems.
