NORRAG Podcast 04
The IEFG: role of a philanthropic affinity network within global education.
Following the publication of Philanthropy in Education: Diverse Perspectives and Global Trend, launched by NORRAG and the Al Qasimi Foundation, the International Education Funders Group’s then Executive Director and then Director of Programmes, Megan Haggerty and Bronwen Magrath, recorded this podcast to further shine a light on the IEFG’s role as a philanthropic affinity network within global education. They discuss the differences between affinity networks, donor collaboratives/pooled funds and advocacy initiatives but mainly focus on the IEFG’s three key roles:
- information sharing,
- providing depth and context to our members’ work, and
- building a community of trust.
